Well folks, you know we’re back in the ’70s again when inflation strikes.
Something I haven’t seen in 30 years, the return of the shrinking pour is back.
Around 1980 meals, drinks, everything was shrinking before your eyes when you dined out. But for the last couple of decades we’ve been supersizing everything: 40 oz beer glasses started appearing in bars in the ’90s, and are now common.
Ahem. Check out the “new pint”.
Libby’s glassware has seen sales jump for their 14 oz pint glass. It looks like a pint except for the ve-er-y thick glass on the bottom.
Even the Wall Street Journal has written about the ever shrinking beer. I expect wine will be next. Doubtless sold to promote sobriety.
