The white wine, John (and I) was enjoying so much got mentioned off the air. I think I forgot to give it a name on air.
It was Evolution, an Oregon wine by Sokol Blosser. Great wine. Lovely bouquet, with great fruit and acid. Remarkably versatile wine.
The other two wines we drank were:
– Penfold’s Thomas Hyland Shiraz
– Gabbiano Chianti
People talk all the time about Pinot Noir and food. I had a glass of the Gabbiano with my home-made chicken soup lunch after the show. It’s a great wine for just eating and drinking.
